Ever wonder where the Swiss go on holiday? Well wonder no more. This is it, a place that people who already live in a stunning location escape to: Ticino, Switzerland. It’s a place where the weather is mysteriously better, the people speak Italian, and the views are straight out of a movie. Literally, the opening sequence of 007 Golden Eye was filmed here.
After a short hiatus where we were gatekeeping the country we call home, we’re bringing you back to arguably the most picturesque region of Europe. Excursions will include a hike in the Swiss alps, a day trip to beautiful Lucerne, a jaunt into Italy for a boat cruise and island visit on Lago Maggiore, a Brissago city tour and so much more.
Have you ever wanted to pretend you were Maria from The Sound of Music? Well she was in Austria, but luckily she escaped into Switzerland at the end of the movie. And the good news is that this is your chance to frolic through the alps with some very inspiring vegans and a fantastic group of your brand new life-long friends.

Getaway Highlights
Saturday, June 21st: Check-in at the always vegan Garden Hotel Primavera Brissago followed by opening night fondue dinner party.
Sunday, June 22nd: Family breakfast, walking tour of Brissago with lunch at local restaurant, plus dinner and local wine tasting.
Monday, June 23rd: Family breakfast, day trip to Lucerne with guided tour, lunch and family dinner.
Tuesday, June 24th: Free time to explore Ticino, family dinner.
Wednesday, June 25th: Family breakfast, Swiss Alps hiking experience with lunch at mountain Rifugio and family dinner.
Thursday, June 26th: Family breakfast, free time to explore Ticino, family dinner.
Friday, June 27th: Family breakfast, Ticino island boat tour with lunch followed by closing dinner.
Saturday, June 28th: Family breakfast followed by check out and goodbyes.
All meals included except lunch on day 4 and 6 during free time.

As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 15 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!

With more than 15 years experience in the hospitality industry, in 2021 Isabella and her husband Maurizio have courageously decided to open the first vegan hotel in the Ticino region: the Garden Hotel Primavera. Their goal is to promote the vegan lifestyle with positive vibes, influencing as many guests as possible into making healthier and more respectful choices.
