Oh Mamma! Italy 2025
In 2025 we’re headed back to beautiful Italy, but this time, with a brand new host partner, the the lovely, talented and not to mention, Italian Gigi Grassia!
As a marathon runner with a passion for high-protein meals, we will give our menu a bit of a tweak as inspired by Gigi, not to mention, she’ll host two fabulous, high-protein cooking demos!
As always, we’ll reside at our home away from home, Pensione Vignamaggio, and throughout the trip we’ll embark on a day of vegan wine-tastings, traverse the varied landscape of colourful Cinque Terre, go on a guided tour of historical Florence and so much more!
We’ll also have the opportunity to indulge in a mouth-watering menu of veganized Italian food prepared by our very own private vegan chef, the fantastic Gabriele Palloni.
We’re so excited to be partnering Gigi and adding another hilarious and fun Italian-born team member to our roster. And with that we can’t wait to grab a glass of wine and watch the sunset together in 2025!

Getaway Details
Saturday, June 14th: Check-in at Pensione Vignamaggio followed by welcome drinks and opening dinner party.
Sunday, June 15th: Family breakfast, wine tasting experience with lunch, dinner at hotel.
Monday, June 16th: Family breakfast, lunch at hotel, dinner cooking experience with Gigi Grassia.
Tuesday, June 17th: Family breakfast, visit to Ohana farm animal sanctuary, day trip into Florence with guided tour, free time (dinner not included on this day).
Wednesday, June 18th: Family breakfast, free time (lunch not included on this day), dinner cooking experience with Gigi Grassia.
Thursday, June 19th: Family breakfast, Cinque Terre excursion with lunch, dinner at hotel.
Friday, June 20th: Family breakfast, free time, lunch at villa, time to pack and enjoy Panzano, closing night dinner.
Saturday, June 21st: Family breakfast followed by check out and goodbyes.

About Your Hosts
AMANDA PERSI
As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 15 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Gabriele has worked as a chef in countless creative formats, has written three vegan cookbooks, and collaborates on all kinds of exciting vegan projects in Italy and beyond. Gabriele owns a vegan B&B in Florence, and works as a home chef spreading his message of antispeciesism across the nation.
KIM BIZZARRI
Kim is a Rome-born, Tuscany-based, British-Italian who has spent 20 years consulting for some of the world’s largest environmental NGOs. Kim has dedicated his life to promoting social change, with a focus on redefining the way in which humans relate to other life forms, especially animals. Leading The Getaway Co.’s vegan tours in Italy is part of Kim’s dedication to supporting vegan companies who are contributing to changing the world.
