Lovely and beautiful Bali, with it’s stunning scenery and some of the kindest people we’ve had the pleasure of working with across the globe. Did you know that Indonesia is where tempeh originated? Hence, in 2025 we will once again host our fabulous Tempeh Nation Celebration!
This inspiring 10 day event will be hosted by the ever charismatic Richard Makin from School Night Vegan, which immediately promises a heightened level of laughs, fun, and vegan food knowledge. We will also call the VERY highly revered Theanna Eco Villa in lovely Canggu our home, so everyone can once again look forward to their own private pool villas, all along the magical path down the centre of the property scattered with fallen frangipani flowers.
As always, we will work with our local team to dive into the Balinese culture, visit a relaxing beach club, traverse a volcano in the middle of the night, visit the rice terraces of beautiful Ubud, get relaxing massages, host an animal welfare event, and connect with our new group of wonderful friends.
We can’t wait to meet you, and to have the chance to introduce another group of guests to this magical, culture rich destination.

Saturday, September 20: Check in and get comfortable, welcome drinks and opening dinner party with traditional Balinese dance performance
Sunday, September 21: Breakfast, Ubud Excursion (visit to Tegalalang rice terraces, group lunch, surprise activity)
Monday, September 22: Breakfast, free time, cooking experience with School Night Vegan, dinner
Tuesday, September 23: Breakfast, Cultural Excursion (visit to Ulun Danu Temple, Banyumala Waterfall and lunch)
Wednesday, September 24: Breakfast, free time to relax, family dinner at restaurant in Canggu.
Thursday, September 25: Up at 2am! Volcano Hike Excursion, early lunch at villa, time to sleep
Friday, September 26: Breakfast, free time, cooking experience with School Night Vegan, dinner
Saturday, September 27: Breakfast, animal welfare lunch with Bali Animal Welfare Association, free time over dinner
Sunday, September 28: Breakfast, Beach Day Excursion, (visit luxury beach club with lunch and Kecak fire dance)
Monday, September 29: Breakfast, free time, closing night family dinner.
Tuesday, September 30: Breakfast, check-out and goodbyes.

Our volcano hike excursion is medium – high level difficulty and requires a good level of fitness.

Cherie has spent time visiting different parts of Indonesia, travelling around Maluku, Java and Bali, discovering the incredible plant-based food scene and studying Bahasa Indonesia.
