Did you know that Bali was the very first location where The Getaway Co. hosted a fully vegan holiday experience? If you’re looking for lush landscapes, a beautiful villa, amazing vegan food, and some of the kindest people on the planet, this is the Getaway for you.
In 2026, we’re bringing back all the magic with another edition of Tempeh Nation Celebration! Joining us once again is Zacchary Bird for his third go around, which at this point feels less like a return and more like a tradition. His passion, knowledge, and energy continue to grow with every Getaway, and his enthusiasm is a big part of what makes this trip so special!
As always, we’ll call the highly revered Theanna Eco Villa in charming Canggu our home base, where each guest enjoys their own private pool villa along a flower-lined path scattered with fragrant frangipani.
Together with our incredible local team, we’ll immerse ourselves in Balinese culture; enjoying a relaxing beach club day, hiking a volcano under the stars, visiting the breathtaking Ubud rice terraces, indulging in massages, hosting an animal welfare event, and most importantly, forming meaningful connections with a new group of wonderful friends.

Saturday, September 12: Check in and get comfortable, welcome drinks and opening dinner party with traditional Balinese dance performance
Sunday, September 13: Breakfast, Ubud Excursion (visit to Tegalalang rice terraces, group lunch, surprise activity)
Monday, September 14: Breakfast, free time, vegan cooking experience with Zacchary Bird, group dinner
Tuesday, September 15: Breakfast, Cultural Excursion (visit to Ulun Danu Temple, Banyumala Waterfall and lunch)
Wednesday, September 16: Breakfast, free time to relax, family dinner at restaurant in Canggu.
Thursday, September 17: Up at 2am! Volcano Hike Excursion, early lunch at villa, time to sleep
Friday, September 18: Breakfast, free time, traditional Balinese cooking class, group dinner
Saturday, September 19: Breakfast, animal welfare lunch with Bali Animal Welfare Association, free time over dinner
Sunday, September 20: Breakfast, Beach Day Excursion, (visit luxury beach club with lunch and Kecak fire dance)
Monday, September 21: Breakfast, free time, closing night family dinner.
Tuesday, September 22: Breakfast, check-out and goodbyes.

The Getaway Co. groups are comprised of approximately 15-25 participants of all ages (21+)
Activity Difficulty: Our volcano hike excursion is medium to high difficulty and requires a good level of fitness.
Other activities on the Getaway are generally moderate in intensity.

AMANDA PERSI
As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 15 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!
zacchary bird
Zacchary Bird is an Australian vegan chef, cookbook author, recipe developer, and content creator. Known for his playful, indulgent plant-based recipes, he creates vegan versions of comfort foods and shares his knowledge to inspire home cooks and plant-based eaters worldwide.
lianne morrow
Lianne is our Operations and Guest Experience Manager, with a background in hospitality, customer service, event management, and travel and tourism. She ensures every Getaway is executed seamlessly and is the go-to for guest questions. She’s also a former co-owner of a vegan catering business, bringing a touch of creativity and care to everything she does.
rikke olsen
Rikke is a passionate travel enthusiast, event coordinator and project manager who thrives on creating meaningful experiences for others. In her role as volunteer manager for Scandinavia’s largest plant-based food festival, she is passionate about building community and promoting sustainable food choices. She combines structure and creativity in everything she does, whether it’s traveling or working on projects.
