Bali holds a special place in The Getaway Co.’s heart as the very first destination where we hosted a fully vegan holiday experience. With its lush landscapes, stunning villas, incredible plant-based cuisine, and wonderfully warm people, it is the perfect setting for a transformative Getaway.
In 2027, we are returning to the magic with a new edition of Tempeh Nation Celebration. Our home base will once again be the highly regarded Theanna Eco Villa in charming Canggu, where every guest enjoys a private pool villa along paths lined with fragrant frangipani flowers.
We are SO excited to be joined by the amazing Erin Ireland as our vegan host extraordinaire, bringing her warmth, energy, and deep love of plant based food to the experience, helping to connect the group throughout the Getaway!
Over the ten days, we will dive into the best of Balinese culture. Picture a relaxing day at a beach club, a sunrise hike up a volcano, exploring the spectacular Ubud rice terraces, indulging in rejuvenating massages, and connecting through a local animal welfare event. Amid all this, there is plenty of time to meet and bond with a group of like-minded, inspiring new friends.
This is your chance to experience Bali in a way that feeds the body, mind, and soul, and to make memories that will stay with you long after the trip ends.

Saturday, September 11: Check in and get comfortable, welcome drinks and opening dinner party with traditional Balinese dance performance
Sunday, September 12: Breakfast, Ubud Excursion (visit to Tegalalang rice terraces, group lunch, surprise activity)
Monday, September 13: Breakfast, free time, vegan cooking experience with Erin Ireland, group dinner
Tuesday, September 14: Breakfast, Cultural Excursion (visit to Ulun Danu Temple, Banyumala Waterfall and lunch)
Wednesday, September 15: Breakfast, free time to relax, family dinner at restaurant in Canggu.
Thursday, September 16: Up at 2am! Volcano Hike Excursion, early lunch at villa, time to sleep
Friday, September 17: Breakfast, free time, traditional Balinese cooking class, group dinner
Saturday, September 18: Breakfast, animal welfare lunch with Bali Animal Welfare Association, free time over dinner
Sunday, September 19: Breakfast, Beach Day Excursion, (visit luxury beach club with lunch and Kecak fire dance)
Monday, September 20: Breakfast, free time, closing night family dinner.
Tuesday, September 21: Family breakfast, check-out and goodbyes.

The Getaway Co. groups are comprised of approximately 15-25 participants of all ages (21+)
Activity Difficulty: Our volcano hike excursion is medium to high difficulty and requires a good level of fitness.

AMANDA PERSI
As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 15 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!
ERIN IRELAND
Erin Ireland is the owner of Vancouver’s To Live For Bakery and Cafe, as well as, a recipe developer, content creator and animal rights advocate. A former TEDx speaker, she shares her knowledge and experiences to support other plant-based entrepreneurs globally in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of vegan eating.

Lianne is our Operations and Guest Experience Manager, with a background in hospitality, customer service, event management, and travel and tourism. She ensures every Getaway is executed seamlessly and is the go-to for guest questions. She’s also a former co-owner of a vegan catering business, bringing a touch of creativity and care to everything she does.
