Vegan in Portugal 2024
Another spring/summer season means another vegan holiday in beautiful Portugal! In 2024, we are headed back to one of our favourite countries, and one that gets progressively more vegan as time passes.
We will once again call the town of Cascais home and during our time there we will embark on a week of delicious vegan food experiences, lots of fun excursions, and we’ll enjoy an endless supply of laughter and connections. As always, we will stay with our friends at Casa Vela Hotel which feels like our own little tropical paradise right in the centre of peaceful Cascais.
Trip highlights include: a visit to Sintra to tour the historical Pena Palace, a traditional tile painting workshop, a Portuguese wine tasting (all vegan of course), cooking demos with our yet to be announced vegan lifestyle expert, a city tour through Lisbon and lots of time to relax, connect and enjoy!
These are just a few of the highlights we’ll enjoy on this magical adventure through culture-rich Portugal and we can’t wait to meet you for yet another life-changing, fully vegan holiday in 2024.

Getaway Highlights
Saturday, May 11th: 3:00pm check-in at Casa Vela Hotel followed by welcome drinks and dinner party.
Sunday, May 12th: Walking tour of Cascais with lunch, free time and family dinner at Casa Vela.
Monday, May 13th: Family breakfast, city tour of Lisbon, free time over dinner for shopping, cafes and gelato.
Tuesday, May 14th: Family breakfast, optional yoga class at hotel, lunch in Cascais, cooking demo and family dinner.
Wednesday, May 15th: South bank of Lisbon excursion with visit to Christ the King Statue, tile painting experience and wine tasting.
Thursday, May 16th: Family breakfast, free time day, evening cooking demo and family dinner.
Friday, May 10th: Family breakfast, time to pack, lunch at hotel, afternoon trip to Sintra visit to Pena Palace, followed by stop at Cabo Roca for sunset closing dinner.
Saturday, May 11th: Family breakfast followed by check out and goodbyes.
Our ultimate goal with these activities is to bring groups of like-minded, empathetic people together to connect, learn, grow and be inspired.

As an official National Tour Guide in Portugal since 2001, as well as being vegan herself, there is no one better to have on The Getaway Co. team in Portugal than Catia!
