Beautiful Croatia! A country known for its dazzling coastline, stunning islands and the filming location for King’s Landing on Game of Thrones.
In 2024, The Getaway Co. will embark on its maiden voyage through one of the Adriatic’s most popular destinations, alongside friend and vegan lifestyle expert Richard Makin of School Night Vegan.
Throughout our week-long holiday experience, highlights include: time spent in both fortified Dubrovnik and the capital of the Dalmatia region, Split, a wine tasting, city tours, a boat tour through the Elaphiti islands, a cooking experience with School Night Vegan and of course lots of delicious vegan food all along the way!
As always, there will also be free time to relax and connect at both the modern and convenient Sperone Heritage Hotel Split as well as time to take in the view at the seaside Hotel Mlini just outside of Dubrovnik. So sign up now and can’t wait to see you for our very own Croatian Plantasy!

Getaway Details
Saturday, May 18: Check in at Sperone Heritage Hotel Split, followed by opening dinner party and introductions.
Sunday, May 19: Time to sleep in, breakfast at hotel, guided city tour of Split, lunch in city center, evening culinary experience with School Night Vegan followed by dinner.
Monday, May 20: Breakfast at hotel, free time to explore Split or the surrounding area (no lunch will be provided on this day), evening tour of nearby Ethno village Klis, followed by group dinner.
Tuesday, May 21: Breakfast at hotel, check-out, transfer to Dubrovnik. Wine tasting experience and lunch in the Croatian wine region along the way. Stop at Saltworks in Ston. Check-in at Hotel Mlini and dinner nearby.
Wednesday, May 22: Breakfast at hotel, lunch with panorama view, guided city tour of Dubrovnik’s historical old town, free time, group dinner in Dubrovnik.
Thursday, May 23: Breakfast at hotel, free time (no lunch will be provided on this day), group dinner in Mlini.
Friday, May 24: Breakfast at hotel, private tour of the Elaphiti islands and special closing night dinner experience.
Saturday, May 25: Family breakfast followed by check out and goodbyes.

As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 20 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Africa, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!

Richard Makin is School Night Vegan! “As a long-time foodie, I had developed some pretty good cooking skills, but turning vegan was a whole new challenge! I had to retrain myself to cook without animal products. It was a surprisingly rewarding learning curve! I’m now a food stylist, recipe developer and food editor specialising in animal-free dishes.” -RM

I’m Marino. I was born and raised in Dubrovnik, Croatia and have been working in tourism and exploring my country from a tourists perspective for more than a decade. My goal is to provide special and unique travel experiences that are truly authentic, and allow you to feel the beauty Croatia has to offer. I love to introduce travellers to local traditions and customs, as well as to warm local people to hear their stories.
