Rolling hills, stunning sunsets, castles galore: there is nowhere more beautiful to visit than Italy. But regions like Tuscany can be incredibly difficult to visit as a vegan.
In 2023, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to take you back to historical Panzano and provide you with a mouth-watering menu of veganized Italian food prepared by our very own private vegan chef, the fantastic Gabriele Palloni.
And this year you’re in luck! Not only have we partnered with fabulous plantrepreneur Farmer Nick Cutsumpas, we’ll also be joined by two of Canada’s top names in vegan food and lifestyle, Lauren Toyota from hot for food and Rose Lee from Cheap Lazy Vegan! During our time together, Nick will dazzle us with his incredibly in depth knowledge of all things plants, and Lauren and Rose will teach us a thing or two in the vegan kitchen!
We will once again be staying at our home away from home, Pensione Vignamaggio, and throughout the trip we’ll embark on a day of vegan wine-tastings, traverse the varied landscape of colourful Cinque Terre, go on a guided tour of historical Florence and so much more!
Italy is truly an amazing destination and we can’t wait to grab a glass of wine and watch the sunset together.

Saturday, June 24th: Check-in at Pensione Vignamaggio followed by welcome drinks and opening dinner party.
Sunday, June 25th: Family breakfast, wine tasting experience with lunch, dinner at hotel.
Monday, June 26th: Family breakfast, lunch at hotel, dinner cooking experience with Lauren, Nick and Rose.
Tuesday, June 27th: Family breakfast, day trip into Florence with guided tour and special lunch, free time (dinner not included on this day).
Wednesday, June 28th: Family breakfast, free time (lunch not included on this day), dinner cooking experience with Lauren, Nick and Rose.
Thursday, June 29th: Family breakfast, Cinque Terre excursion with lunch and special dinner stop.
Friday, June 30th: Family breakfast, free time, lunch at villa, time to pack and enjoy Panzano, closing night dinner.
Saturday, July 1st: Family breakfast followed by check out and goodbyes.

About Your Hosts
As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 15 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!
Nick is a “plantrepreneur” who is passionate about all things green. As a full-time plant coach, urban gardener, and landscape designer, Nick’s mission is to leave the earth greener than when he found it – giving people the knowledge and confidence they need to create their own green spaces in the pursuit of environmental action and social justice.
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Gabriele has worked as a chef in countless creative formats, has written three vegan cookbooks, and collaborates on all kinds of exciting vegan projects in Italy and beyond. Gabriele owns a completely vegan B&B in Florence, and works as a home chef spreading his message of antispeciesism across the nation.
A photographer, writer and vegan herself, Nicoletta was a clear fit for The Getaway Co. team in Italy! Born and raised just outside of Milan, she has lived and planned events all over Europe! Nicoletta is a wealth of knowledge, relying on her passion and experience within the travel, food and wine industries to dazzle our group and help coordinate magical experiences.
