Whisked Away to Italy 2024
2024 will mark our sixth trip to beautiful Tuscany and we couldn’t be happier to be heading back to one of our favourite places with a new group of excited vegans!
From June 8th-15th (our very favourite time of the year in Italy) we will once again call beautiful Panzano our home, and we’ll have the opportunity to indulge in a mouth-watering menu of veganized Italian food prepared by our very own private vegan chef, the fantastic Gabriele Palloni. In addition to Gabriele’s Italian vegan menu, Erin and Lauren will lead us through two fun and interactive cooking experiences!
As always, we’ll reside at our home away from home, Pensione Vignamaggio, and throughout the trip we’ll embark on a day of vegan wine-tastings, traverse the varied landscape of colourful Cinque Terre, go on a guided tour of historical Florence and so much more!
Italy is truly an amazing destination and we can’t wait to grab a glass of wine and watch the sunset together.

Saturday, June 8th: Check-in at Pensione Vignamaggio followed by welcome drinks and opening dinner party.
Sunday, June 9th: Family breakfast, wine tasting experience with lunch, dinner at hotel.
Monday, June 10th: Family breakfast, lunch at hotel, dinner cooking experience with Erin Ireland.
Tuesday, June 11th: Family breakfast, day trip into Florence with guided tour, free time (dinner not included on this day).
Wednesday, June 12th: Family breakfast, free time (lunch not included on this day), dinner cooking experience with Lauren Toyota.
Thursday, June 13th: Family breakfast, Cinque Terre excursion with lunch, dinner at hotel.
Friday, June 14th: Family breakfast, free time, lunch at villa, time to pack and enjoy Panzano, closing night dinner.
Saturday, June 15th: Family breakfast followed by check out and goodbyes.

The Getaway Co. groups are comprised of 15-20 participants of all ages (21+)

About Your Hosts
As a PR and event management expert, Amanda has over 15 years of experience working with everyone from Lady Gaga to Kendrick Lamar, to entrepreneurial groups, to corporate teams, and everyone in between! Having planned events and getaways in North America, Europe and Asia, she is both The Getaway Co’s founder and go-to inspiration captain!
Erin Ireland is the owner of Vancouver’s To Live For Bakery and Cafe, as well as, a recipe developer, content creator and animal rights advocate. A former TEDx speaker, she shares her knowledge and experiences to support other plant-based entrepreneurs globally in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of vegan eating.
As one of the most recognizable experts in plant-based living, Lauren has made a name for herself as an inspirational voice of a generation. From YouTube to Twitter to Instagram, she has countless loyal followers, fans, and subscribers across the board! Currently she is devoted to creating authentic and engaging content on her YouTube channels, Lauren In Real Life and hot for food.
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Gabriele has worked as a chef in countless creative formats, has written three vegan cookbooks, and collaborates on all kinds of exciting vegan projects in Italy and beyond. Gabriele owns a vegan B&B in Florence, and works as a home chef spreading his message of antispeciesism across the nation.
